Well, we have a new Xbox One review. I just wish it was a better game!
Glad to get this one off my plate. It was getting on my nerves. I was playing through this at the same time as Alan Wake 2, which was 100 times better.
Thoughts? Comments?

I don't know if I can take a review of a story-based game too seriously when the concept of "racism exists" is apparantly too much to believe and means the creators hate white people.

It's hard enough to take a review of a story-based game seriously when the reviewer thinks the first Life Is Strange has "thoughtful storytelling" and "realistic dialog".
But I've seen other reviews criticize how heavy-handed the game's portrayal of racism is. I have little reason to doubt this, given my experience with the first game.

Yep, the "Life is Strange" series is well known to be woke hot garbage, and not fun on top of that. Sorry not sorry.

Sounds awful.
I enjoyed the first game. I don't want to play this if it doesn't have Max in it she made the game for me.

With Stalvern on this series. First game was barf and this one is even worse (judging only on three hours of play though). Story centric games require three factors to work - good scripting, good acting, and good storytelling. Miss just one and the whole thing crumbles. I wonder how much gets lost in translation. Perhaps not the level of a "miserable pile of secrets" as in Castlevania but a weak translation effort leading to butchery for the facsimile. This is not uncommon in European cinema.
Review wise, tongue in cheek apart, I am fairly sure Square Enix did not develop this game
. Published, yes.

Have you tried out any of the Telltale games? They're a lot like this, but they've got games for a ton of different franchises, like Batman, Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Borderlands. I'm not sure which ones do and don't have physical copies, but it might be worth it to check some of them out.

Can't get behind a game that has people escaping TO Mexico. I mean, how unrealistic can you get?

I forgot, any piece of media that features a non-white person is "woke."

We joke about escaping to Canada. Is that too on the nose?
