I'm reviewing all the old Simpsons games. Here's my first set!
Let me know what you think.

These were all first-time reviews? If so, these are a great addition to the site. In the early 90's, other than Ninja Turtles, I imagine that the Simpsons had to be one of the hottest cartoon licenses out there for turning into an NES game. So much potential, but then again, I guess it's no surprise that these seem more like cash-grabs.
I owned 2 of these as a kid - one was Bart vs the World, but I can't remember the second. Either way, I do remember that I thought both games were way too difficult. Despite not owning many NES games growing up (maybe like 15-20), I have almost no memory of playing the Simpsons games. Not surprised by the scores based on that.

Yes these are first-time reviews. I have two Genesis reviews (one re-review) and two new SNES Simpsons reviews coming up.

The NES and the Simpons seem like the perfect match. It's a shame there was never a truly good game for the NES/SNES.
Why they didn't they port the arcade game to the SNES, that was an amazing beat em' up!
Oh well....great reviews, very interesting.

I was in my early teens and loved both Nintendo and Simpsons when those games came out. I never played them because always thought they looked like crap.

Thanks for the feedback! Glad these reviews turned out okay. I was reviewing about 10 Simpsons games at once, and worried it would result in them being "watered down". But it was kind of necessary because there was a lot of overlap between systems, giving me a good basis of comparison.
For example, the Genesis mutants game isn't really any better than the NES, which is disappointing.

I was surprised you never covered these before.

Acclaim had exclusive console rights. The only Simpsons arcade ports were on computers.

I have a soft spot for Bart Vs. The Space Mutants, only because I spent a stupid amount of time getting good enough to make it to the fourth level. Haven't beaten it without a Game Genie though.
Krusty's Fun House is a great Simpsons game, both the NES and SNES versions are good.
