Here are some new video game products coming out this Fall that some of you might be interested in.  Don't know about the pricing or the exact date of release.

You reviewed the built-in emulated games on the Genesis Classic Console, but how well do old Genesis cartridges play?

They play fine, but they will be fact be emulated when used on the system.  So you will run into the occasional glitches and off-key sounds.

I'm in the process of sending off some PAL exclusive roms to an individual at AtariAge that also had the privilege of previewing these things.

One of the neat things with the earlier awful AtGames Genesis releases with SD card support for adding additional roms was their ability to play PAL software just fine on NTSC televisions. We're hoping that feature remains intact now that they're finally arriving with something with quality controls and halfway decent audio support which were two items that weren't present with their earlier products. Even with a region switch modded Genesis there are numerous PAL exclusives that will be unplayable on NTSC televisions like Super Skidmarks. So this feature, if intact, is useful for even the diehard Genesis fans thathave original hardware hooked up, own an extensive cart collection, bought an Everdrive to play what they didn't have in cartridge form, etc.

Did AtGames provide you with their new paddle controller to preview? That's perhaps the nicest thing that they're doing with the Flashback 4. They're producing new jitter free Atari 2600 compatible paddle controllers, paired just like always that will be sold via Amazon and directly from the AtGames website for $20.

And the wired CX40 lookalike Flashback 3 joysticks that you liked will also be available (Not the wireless versions only compatible with the Flashback 4). They're compatible with all hardware that supported 2600 controllers (Your Flashback 3 review was incorrect in this regard, it's just that today's DE9 ports are ever so slightly different in shape which makes it a tight fit to plug in classic controllers into things like the Flashback 2-4 or for a modern controller for the same systems to be plugged into a classic console... but they are compatible).

Although I suggest if one wants brand new Atari compatible joysticks that they just visit their local Wal-Mart. The Flashback 3 with two of the joysticks is widely available at a discounted price of $30 at Wal-Marts nationwide. Beats paying $20 for a single new joystick.

Just a head's up, critic - the Space Invaders game on the Flashback IV was programmed as a system exclusive. There are a few subtle differences from the arcade original.

This was done at the request of Taito.

They use potentiometers just like the real deal for proper analog control.

About 9:40 in this video is a Breakout demonstration with them. Looks good to me.
