Great set of review... for the car shooting game I remember Starsky and Hutch on the xbox had a similar theme... though it was not 2d but 3d all the way baby!!!
Wizard of war looks to be a great version. I am still playing the game the 360 version.

In the Crime Buster review shouldn't the year of Final Legacy for Atari XEGS be 1987 not 1997? Other then that enjoyed the reviews.

Crime Buster is one of the better light gun games for the system, in my opinion, although I guess that really isn't saying much. I agree with the review of Hard Hat Mack, although I will admit I found myself coming back to it again and again just to try to make some progress.

Wizard of Wor is a hard game to get much further than the Arena level...so the disappearing shots is a help.

I just got an Atari 800XL so it's nice to see some XEGS reviews.
One of the first games I got was Wizard of Wor and would agree with a B+. I've played the game quite a bit and never even noticed the disappearing shots! Yeah, the game doesn't have the wizard's voice, but considering you really can't make out what he's saying in the arcade version very well, I wonder how good it would sound on the XEGS.

I love playing Wizard of Wor with my VCS... and that game seems to be awesome on every system, as I could verify in emulation. If I remember correctly, the coin-op has the disappearing shots too, and doesn't let you shoot through the explosions, while the C-64 port lets you do that... but I'm not sure. Anyway, every Wizard of Wor port is worth playing.
