Let me know what you think about this review!

To be honest, I was pretty down on this game at first.  But once I got a feel for it, it definitely sucked me in.  I have quite a few complaints, but most are very minor.

Have you thought about trying the 360/PS3 version?

Not really.  I already bought the game twice.

Fantastic review Dave.  That is what I like.  An honest opinion by someone who has actually played the other games.
I my get this when it comes down in price.  On 360 of course.

This was a solid review. One thing I've noticed with the game is the drastic change in review scores from the 3DS version to the console versions. Is the game better on the 3DS?

That's for the feedback guys!

About the winter flashback - No this part is short.

Is it better on the 3DS?  It certainly is more impressive on the 3DS.  You don't expect to experience amazing survival horror on the small screen.  The Wii U game is easier to criticize, but it sure is nice to view the action on a big screen.

David - I think the control problems you describe are the same ones I mention in the review.  Capcom should have hired a play tester!

That's a really good question.  I can't speak for the Critic (obviously), but I think it's a better game on home consoles (specifically the 360 and PS3 versions), but the first time I played it on 3DS it made MUCH more of an impact.  Until half way through 2012, Revelations was my GOTY.  When I played it on my 360 over a year later, it looked better and it played much better because of the second analogue stick.  But it's just not nearly as impressive compared to other, similar PS3 and 360 games as it is compared to other handheld games in general.  It's drop dead gorgeous on the 3DS, but it looks merely "good" on 360.  That's my take.  I rented it for 360 and I enjoyed it, and if I ever play the game again, I'll purchase it and play it on PS3 or 360.  But it was built for the 3DS and that's how most reviewers will think of it.

VGC, did you play the raid mode?  You can play it one player and it is a lot of fun.  I think your review is great and encapsulates all that is good with this game.  Considering it is coming up for the Celtic celebration Samhain aka Halloween it might be a good time to up date your review with a mention for this mode.
You play through it once and it is hard.  Then you get to play the trench mode and it is even harder but it is a lot of fun.
Your review is the whole reason I bought the game in the first place.  After the disappointing 6 and the atrocious squad game.
Also I know it is download only but perhaps a review of resident evil 4 HD remake would be a good idea next time it is cheap?
Please update your review to focus more on the raid mode which puts lots of longevity in this title.  Something which the makers of Destiny should have done.
