Here are two NES titles with a Christmas theme.
The first game isn't bad at all.

I used to have Home Alone 2 on Gameboy, it was an alright timewaster, but the NES version just looks bad judging from AVGN's review of it.

Solid reviews. Is the Home Alone a re-review? I think I remember seeing a review for it before. The first game looks okay, the second looks terrible. Running from crooks looks like it would be fun for competing for a high score.

He reviewed the Genesis one a long time ago, and gave it a B.

He also reviewed the Genesis version of Home Alone 2 which wasn't really that much better than this one...

These reviews were good, but I do hope he gets to Action 52 one day, as it is much Worse than Home Alone 2 (or for that matter, any other game he's failed so far...).

Wait a minute. Home Alone for NES is made by Bethesda!? You mean Bethesda of Elder Scrolls fame!?

Old thread, but I wonder if the concierge character in Home Alone 2 is meant to be Rob Schneider, not Tim Curry, in the face department. It's almost like they transplanted Schneider's head onto Curry's outfit.

I've been playing these terrible THQ games lately and I think it'd do the Critic good to review a few more of them. :D Playing games like Peter Pan, Wayne's World or Rocky & Bullwinkle can really remind you of just how bad a licensed game can be (and Home Alone 2 is actually superior to the three games I mentioned, believe it or not).

There's ill-conceived or overly ambitious, and then there's just total trash. THQ's output on NES is heavily populated by the latter.
