Here's my review of the latest "lost prototype" unveiled at a recent classic gaming convention.

Interesting review. I've never seen The Hobbit or The Lord of the Rings, but I wasn't aware that a video game of The Hobbit existed, but I may look into this one further.

Now that you got this game out of the way, I wish to recommend Diablo 3 for the ColecoVision. Amazing game! I think it might be better than the PC and Modern Console versions!

I remember reading in one of my old Video Games magazines about the Hobbit being in development, and then never heard anything about it until now. It's too bad this game did not live up to the Adventure standard. Very informative review.

Wow. 1983?? That screenshot looks like a bad Atari 2600 launch title. I hope that it wasn't anywhere close to completion.

I'm confused. I'm googling and I really can't find _anything_ about this Hobbit prototype anywhere else on the internet. I only get results for "Lord of the Rings: Journey to Rivendell" which seems to be a different and much better looking game.

A prototype review, interesting! Looks frustrating, oddly outdated. Lo-res Smaug, dull audio...yikes.

I am thinking this "review" is something more akin to this special day, eh Dave?? [wink]

Sounds like this game is just for squares.

Since Mt Doom is not part of this story, perhaps a better resting place is stayed lost in the depths of the misty mountains, or sealed in a barrel and tossed in a river, or imprisoned forever in dark Mirkwood, or melted in the lair of the great worm, or should never have been resurrected by some dread necromancer using the unnatural arts.

By Gloin's beard this review had a bit more colorful language then we are used to. Enough to make a respectable hobbit blush.

You have at least posted the title screen. It is absolutely stunning!

Has to be an April Fools joke.

I was a little slow on the uptake.

LOL ...this a fake review of a fake, wannabe Adventure-esque game. Ya'll be had by the April Fools BUG, and when I say bug I mean buggy programers.... [wink] Noone would make a game that bad-looking in 1983.

I'm surprised only tx caught on.
