I think these two new Xbox reviews are really good, but I'll let you be the judge.

Good reviews. I'm not normally a sports fan but games like Blitz and NBA Jam are some of the few that I do like. I will have to keep this in mind. As far as Capcom vs. SNK 2 EO, I really enjoyed the game. It was probably the game I spent the most time on, on my original Xbox. The game has a surprising amount of depth and I didn't find the 6 different grooves as overkill. Having so many different options was a lot of fun and there were quite a bit of customization because of that. Still, I think you hit the right score in the end (B-). Good reviews.

Thanks for the feedback guys.

Josh - I used an arcade stick, which I usually use for 2D fighters and shooting games.  I can't remember if I used my X-Arcade, or my Street Fighter 15th Anniversary controller.

Great reviews, just wanted to add a note though. EA doesn't have an exclusive license with the NHL. The only reason there aren't any other options is because no one else is choosing to make NHL games.

Thanks for the clarification.  I think that line in the review is technically correct though, even if it didn't apply to the NHL.  I suspect if EA did have any competition at all with their NHL game, they would just outbid them for an exclusive license as they did with other sports.  Maybe that's why other companies don't even bother attempting an NHL game.

Lol,yeah. Didn't mean to nitpick, I had to look it up because I just noticed there aren't any NHL 2k games anymore and it wouldn't have surprised me to see that they had gotten an exclusive agreement. It's been years and I'm still irked I can't play new NFL 2k games. Loved that series and now it's madden or nothing.

Capcom vs. SNK 2 has the best X-Box demo ever - it's the full version of the Japanese game, lacking only the online play you can't use anyways, anymore.

I was addicted to that game, even if I found the repetitive songs as ugly as the clashing graphics. It felt like an assault on the player, as violent as any streetfight. But thanks for the nostalgia - it's strange to think that Capcom, of all people, has given up on making sprites entirely.
