This fishing game isn't as bad as it could have been, but not nearly as good either.

Okay, really dumb question time, but is there no way to use the Wiimote as a controller? That screams like it would be perfect for a fishing game (minus the reeling in part).
You'd figure the Wii U screen would work as a great depth or fish finder.
Plus, you could have multiple people fishing at once. So, no two player mode, just single?
Weird...

They could have used you in the planning stage, but I doubt they ever intended to try hard.

Actually only player two can use the Wii-mote (as far as I could tell).

Hmm. You gave it a fairly low score, but it still sounds like you enjoyed it reasonably well. It just could have used a better controller. Am I correct?

Yeah, waving around that little screen like a madman didn't feel like fishing.

There's probably a joke in there somewhere about this might be the only game ever released where being the second player is more advantageous than the first player.
I'm too slow this morning to find one...but I know it's there.
