This is the game that's been making me sick for the last two months.

As much as I love FPS games, this one does not look very exciting or interesting(never really been much of a Wolfenstein fan), so it's unlikely i'll be playing it.

Thanks for the review!
I was on the fence about this one, but your review has made me decide to pass on it for now. I was surprised to hear that the graphics were less than impressive. I might opt for the PS3 version when I find it discounted, unless I happen to own a PS4 by that time.

It is a B on the Xbone. Who would have thought that the Xbone would start being the console to have. I really enjoyed it but the lack of multiplayer means once it has been beat a couple of times there is not a real need to go back to it.

I not sure I wouldn't make it clearer than the Wolf3D homage is the first map of the original PC version and not the console versions (the various mid 90's console versions of Wolf3D all feature simplified levels and adjusted/redone gameplay, music and graphics).
That said in terms of gameplay, New Order's homage to Wolf3D plays nothing like any version of Wolf3D, to put it very lightly.

And because I like the music 3DO Wolf3D

Anyways, back to New Order; I played the game on PC and thought it fun, but I preferred Wolfenstein 2009; it felt much more faithful to Wolf3D than New Order or Return to Castle Wolfenstein.

Good review, the Wolfenstein series has always been interesting but could never really get into it.
I did notice one mistake on your review. You said "The robotic dogs are scary, but find it odd...." I think you forgot to put an "I' right after the but.

This is actually the first review of the game that I've read which isn't full of praise for it (granted though, I didn't read many). I was expecting something of a B. As a fan of the series I'll probably play it sometime anyway... when I get a better graphics card for my PC, or a modern console.

I noticed the PS4 version of this game has more mixed reviews on Metacritic then any of the other versions(the Xbox One version only has two mixed reviews compared to thirteen for the PS4)

I played the game on Xbox 360, I thought it was alright, but far from the best FPS I ever played. The graphics on Xbox 360 are okay too, but they are better looking games. I also had quite some installation time (CD1), didn't that occur on the PS4 version?
