Madden has been weak for years, but the standards should be a little higher for a next gen title.  Let me know what you think about my latest Madden review.

The game looks pretty, but then they didn't fix many of the problems from last year. Why do quarterbacks still complete 90% of their passes? Why can't I throw deep? Why can't I run the ball? I was madly in love with the game at first, but the more I play it, the more flaws I seem to see.

Well, it usually takes a few years before EA releases a "good, next gen sports title" on the new system(s).

I know the Critic is heavily into sports games such as Madden, but I wonder if his reviews of these sort's of games are starting to become too focused toward long time players of the franchises (i.e players like himself)?

I don't have any interest in playing these new system games, but I still like to read your reviews for them. The last line in this review made me laugh out loud!

I think if one were to give a grade for the franchise over the last 10 years it would probably be about a D+, so it's fitting that's the grade. It's definitely a bummer that there haven't been many great sports games released over the last dozen years. I still think there's room for EA to greatly enhance the online franchise mode.

Madden games have turned into the quintessential "Look at those amazing graphics!" followed by "This is not fun to play!" games.

It takes forever for this stupid game to get you to the menus! First it has you downloading a bunch of crap, then it loads a bunch of crap. Takes like two dang minutes before you're even able to select a team! Once I get to that point, I have no more patience for Jay Cutler.
