[QUOTE=arcadecompilation]The last couple of days as well I really the Halo Collection for XBox One will have a Day One 20GB 'content update':

Say what you will though, if you take the official line literally, it sounds like the singleplayer campaign's (bar Halo4's Spartan Op's DLC) are on the disc and the multiplayer component is what you download.

At least MS have put the part that will be playable when Xbox Live shut's down for Xbox One (it goes without saying that the online services for all consoles have to shut down eventually), on the disc.

ptdebate- Yes I played Colonial Marines and no I did not encounter any glitches that I can recall, though I did encounter a few glitches in Alien: Isolation(which to my knowledge does not yet have a patch out to fix them), they were nothing game breaking but they were quite annoying.

Well, be as cynical as you want but November 2014 is going to have one of the best Online experiences ever.

Anyone know what the deal is with the hat brim above his visor?  I mean, it's a super complex HUD displaying, laser proof, partially alien enhanced visor.  It almost certainly has transition lens technology.  I mean, come on, I've seen welding students with technology more advanced than that in the present day.

Other than that, yeah that's going to be a pretty solid value.  Wish Nintendo would do a Zelda collection like it.

Good article, but I don't really agree with the lack of good downloadable games argument.  I know for the Eshop there are a ton of games I want to play and have received good reviews.  I don't have a PS3 or Vita, but I constantly see great reviews of downloadable games on those systems.

Sure, there are a ton of bad games but can't you just ignore those, like any other system?  If I see a good review for something like Steamworld Dig, I'll just go and download, I don't find myself wading through crap to find it.

Critic, I think you're selling yourself short with this, there are a ton of great indie games that I'm sure you'll love!

VGC, I agree with most of your opinions on online gaming. You could also add the notion that many online games are only temporarily - since the supporting service will always be shut down in a couple of years.

I also agree that the digital download stores are cluttered with crappy games, but on the other side I agree with some other members here that some of the best games recently have appeared as download-only title. Without the digital platform we probably have missed highly enjoyable titles such as Bastion, Double Dragon Neon, Shovel Knight, Steamworld Dig, Gunman Clive and Valiant Hearts - games I actually enjoyed more than the latest blockbuster retail titles.

Just as an addendum to the discussion, apparently the PS4 version of The Evil Within runs 30-40% slower without the hefty day-one update:
