Super Cobra on the 2600

I got this back in the day.  Yeah we are talking 30 years ago and it was fantastic.  Okay the graphics look terrible these days but way back when.  Well my pal's used to come round just to play it.  So to give it an F is just an insult.
I would probably give it a C.  Though back in the day it would have got an easy A!

This does seem to divide up people who love it or hate it. Dave is certainly not alone in being disappointed, while Ethan Nobles at Atari Times considers it a misunderstood gem. http://www.ataritimes.com/article.php?showarticle=510

I'd give it a C+/B- ... yes it has choppy scrolling but the graphics are quite pleasant in my opinion, its main flaw is that (on default level, the one I use to play) it's a long and not-so-hard journey aside from 4 or 5 hugely difficult points where you need a perfect timing, and this may cause some frustration. And the levels with the UFOs are too easy and flat, a little boring.
But flying through the caves shooting and bombing is always fun and I like playing Super Cobra occasionaly.

Yeah, I had this one back in the day and enjoyed it too. I agree, a C+ is about right. F should be reserved for the real stinker games, the ones that are simply not playable.
