I was looking for one of these but didn't see one around....so here's a few to start off a new thread --
Plok - SNES - Actually acquired this game when I did not own an SNES during the 94' Powerfest as a prize. Was released at a time the authors admit when every company was trying to come up with the next franchise cute kiddy character and thus despite good reviews the sales of this game weren't as good as it could had been. Just reacquired it used for my 3-in-1 console - a challenging romp, many warps to skip areas conquered, great soundtrack & graphics, requires strategy. It's a hidden GEM.

A few more -
Cadash - the infamous RPG-like arcade game. The Genesis version sadly omits the Priestess & Ninja in favor of the Warrior & Mage but you also don't have to deal with the Time-Up monster.
Rolling Thunder 2 & 3 - The Genesis got two sequels, plays similar to the arcade game but "prettier". Two features selectable characters, three features vehicle sections and choices of weapons. Both feature cut scenes in between rounds telling a story.

Since the Videogame Critic loves fighting games...
Skullgirls - A downloadable 2d fighting game released about a year ago on
both Xbox Live and Playstation Network, with a planned release on the PC
in July. I would advise the Critic to buy the PS3 version for now, because
the Xbox 360 version is still waiting for a huge patch to be approved for it.
Price is $15.
The game plays like a combination of Marvel Vs Capcom 2 and Guilty Gear.
You can vary the team size between 1 and 3 characters; having more
characters on your team will reduce each character's life and the amount of damage
each character can do, but it opens up the combo possibilities and combat options.
All the characters are hand-drawn and then the drawings converted into
sprites, so the game looks crisp and moves silky smooth; the effect is
similar to watching a cartoon, although the cute-but-grotesque artwork
isn't to everyone's taste.
Only 8 characters are currently available, although each character has been
balanced well and they all play very differently than each other. Thanks to
a wildly successful Indiegogo funding drive, there will be 5 free downloadable
characters released in the near future, with the first one arriving in July.

team buddies for ps1. I found this game quite interesting although I'm not sure if it lived up to all the hype. Would like to hear what VGC has to say.

I Want My Mommy.
No, I don't mean I want my mommy....well, maybe just a little....but I'm talking about the game, "I Want My Mommy," by Zimag. Mother's day is coming soon, May 12, so this would be a good time to review it.

Alien Soldier - Wild, bizarre action game made for the Sega Genesis by Treasure
as a sort of stylistic follow-up to Gunstar Heroes. The game has a similar
customizable weapon system and tons of crazy bosses - so many that the
game actually holds a world record for number of bosses! Difficult game,
though - I would advise you to play it on Easy.

Here's another one...you have Columns reviewed but not its sequel Columns 3 which where you play Columns until you overflow the well, Columns 3 is a battle puzzler where you play against the CPU or a friend in the same vein as Super Puzzle Fighter or Mean Bean Machine. Also supports five players if you have the Sega Team Player device.

I would also like to see a review for Virtual-On for the Saturn and Dreamcast. Both different games but part of the same series. The games are relatively cheap compared to most Saturn and Dreamcast games and have an arcade feel to them (well they are from the arcades, so that makes sense). Both were released in the US and have a loyal following of fans. They're kind of like 3D fighting games with mechs.
