Today's review spotlight is of Coleco's version of Victory. What the Video Game Critic doesn't know is that there are actually two versions of Victory for Colecovision. Coleco's version was buggy and incomplete. CBS released a version in Great Britain that was faithful to the coin-op original. It has the released quarks, paratroopers, and scouts that are missing from the US version of the game. This thread on Atari Age explains the differences: http://atariage.com/forums/topic/204879-cbs-victory-for-colecovision/
When I played the Coleco version I couldn't understand why the quarks were never released from the underground silos. As I recall, Coleco's game manual tried to cover up for the sloppy programing by claiming the quarks were "invisible," or some such nonsense. The Critic really should get the CBS version. It's like a whole different game.

I just wanted to second this post (seeing as it never got any replies). A re-review, using/comparing the CBS version, would be a great idea.

I so agree. Victory is a cracking game. Unusual and for that deserves praise.
