Comments are welcome.

In case you're curious about the new "nub" control on the New 3DS, it works for special attacks but I didn't use it much because I don't like how that spongy nub feels.

Critic, I am glad that you gave the 3DS version of Super Smash Bros. 2014 a better grade then the Wii U edition, I also like to point out that you took the time to explain the differences between the Wii U/3DS edition, in witch the GameSpot reviews/other reviewers of both 3DS/Wii U do not do a good job explaining the differences?

A fun fact worth mentioning is the 3DS version is outselling the Wii U by a great margin!

3DS version has sold 6.75 million worldwide: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_be ... ideo_games

Wii U version has sold around 3.65 million worldwide: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_be ... ideo_games

Some people corrected me that the roster is actually the same as the Wii U. Fixed.

I suspect most will disagree with this review. Most people prefer the Wii U version for its controls (several players of the 3DS version have actually damaged their Circle Pad from intense play), and the fact that it looks smoother doesn't hurt either. The unique stages to each version are probably a wash, and as for singleplayer content, the Super Smash Bros. series has always focused on multiplayer first and foremost, so suddenly calling one version better for its singleplayer modes seems a little weird.

Yes, as of right now the character rosters are the same.

I think that the 3DS version is better for casual players of the series as you can take it anywhere and it is a lot more to the point. I think that the Wii U version is better simply because of the controls but I can see why I rated the 3DS version higher.

The Wii U version caters to large groups of players, and frankly I find that a little too chaotic. With 5+ people you can barely keep track of what's going on. The 3DS version on the other hand caters to the single player, and the camera tends to focus on your player because it doesn't have to worry about keeping 7 other people on the screen at the same time.
