Good set of reviews. They were simple and straight to the point. Side Pocket seems like it would be a lot of fun. I always have liked modes that have you incorporating puzzle aspects into the game play, trying to figure out the best approach to a situation. Nice reads.

Super Monaco GP looks great graphically for a 1990 portable game. I still think the Game Gear coulda been a contender. Maybe a successful Game Gear means a Sega in the portable market to this day. Oh well. If wishes were horses...
Seems a bit unfair to compare an 8 bit portable it to its 16 bit console cousin that also came out in 1990. Even the Genesis review admits its hard to convey the thrill of high speed racing with 16 bit technology...here Sega was also trying on 8 bit. Wonder what the Gameboy had for racing games in 1990?
Also interesting is the Genesis review was only 6 weeks ago, but the styles seem very different. For instance, this review is much shorter and far less detail. Its almost like this is a supplemental review. And no hottie on the Game Gear?
