Fun reviews. If you bad saved Ewoks for April 1st, I would have thought you were kidding. Really sounds pretty good.

Backfire also looks like a solid 2nd gen game....maybe Friendly Fire would be a good name if there is ever a 2 player mode.

If Teddie can't jump in I Want My Mommy, then is platformer too strong a word for it? It has levels or elevations, but calling it a platformer seems an insult to platformers. And whats with the 8 poles? Either Teddie is training for a lucrative career as a pole dancer, or to be the next Gordon Liu.

You say I Want My Mommy is the shortest game you've ever finished?

I would submit Marble Madness. By definition, it must be finished in about five minutes, or the game will end.

I'm guessing that's at least the shortest game that most people have played.

Thanks for the new 2600 reviews. I am always looking forward to those. (BTW: Ewok is still in the coming attractions list)

About 12 years ago I helped converting an Ewok Adventure prototype for a limited cart release. I played the game quite a lot then and I never found the control of the glider inappropriate. It doesn't behave like a F-104 because it is a just a glider, which is not that easy to control.

If you need to gain height fast, use the thermals. They are quite frequent. To loose height, you have fly faster. That's how a glider behaves in reality too.
