Check out these new Dreamcast reviews. Spirit of Speed is a re-review, but Super Magnetic Neo is brand new.

Amazing that the day I buy Spirit of Speed 1937, you post a re-review of the game and still give it an F. I haven't played it yet, so I can't even argue. Well, it won't be the first game I own that you give a failing grade!

Witch Sega Dreamcast game is Harder, Super Magnetic Neo, or the Ecco the Dolphin: Defender of the Future

I ask because reviewers claim that Super Magnetic Neo is impossible to beat, yet I bet that game 100%, yet Ecco the Dolphin: Defender of the Future is like the infamous Milon's Secret Castle game, where you need a guide just to get far in the game!

Spirit of Speed was a big disappointment in sim racing circles on the PC when it was new. Everyone was expecting a 1930's counterpart to Grand Prix Legends, a PC racing simulation based on the 1967 F1 season that was a benchmark that racing sims aimed for for years after its 1998 release. Instead, they got this.

If one doesn't mind PC gaming, Grand Prix Legends is the game you should be looking at for an historical grand prix sim.

I think the critic should make a Icon called the LJN award for awful gameplay, perfect for Spirit of Speed 1937/any LJN game!

Why did you re-review Spirit of Speed, if you had already reviewed it?

Just curious.

When it first came out the reviews were it was dire. I had it in my hands to buy but gave up on the idea. I am glad I did as your review just made it sound awful. Then I looked on You tube and you really need to give it an F- as it is atrocious.

He up dates his reviews every couple of years to see if he was right first time. He gives the review a bit more meat and tries to explain why it is so bad. Though as I say about just look at you tube and you can see the problem with the control of cars. It looks like it has twitch controls which are all wrong for cars. As such updated reviews are great.

Glad to see more DC reviews. Super Magnetic Neo was a fairly good DC game. It reminded me a lot of Crash Bandicoot. Good reviews.
