Sounds pretty good, except for having only a 15 character roster and no story mode.

This review seems inconsistent with your general gaming philosophy. There are only 16 characters, with more slated to be added as DLC either through real money, or in-game currency; no arcade mode; numerous features of the game aren't even present yet and will be added in later - am I missing something here? For someone who vehemently opposes having his consoles online, and doesn't want to support this business model, I'm a little surprised you gave this game a score above a D.

I don't agree with a lot of your opinions regarding online gaming and digital sales, but I think if you're gonna routinely criticize companies for doing business like this, you can't give games like this passing scores which recommend people buying it. For what it's worth, to me the score is perfectly fair, but I don't have the same issues with modern gaming as you and others here do.

David,
I'm reviewing the game as it is, with no regard to possible DLC. If new modes were added today I would NOT give the game credit for it. I'm satisfied with the 16 unlocked characters. I am not even paying attention to the currency system because I'm not going to use it. The only thing I'm reviewing is what you get on the disc. And what it is is a superior fighting system with a flawed mode selection.

Are we really only up to five? I am pretty sure I own at least 25 Street Fighter games!

Well, there is the argument for DLC, I guess.

I think he's talking about the championship editions, the turbo editions, the super ultra hyper arcade editions, the Alphas, the X Tekkens, the EXs, the Puzzle Fighters, the MVCs, the SNKVCs, and the 2010 NES game.

Have they patched up the single player on this one ?
I want it but have no interest in getting my ass handed to me online.
