Critic, here is some correction information that you need to know of about the two games/other info worth mention. For Skullgirls 2nd Encore, the PS4 version was released in western countries via PSN download/Limited Run Games.com limed retail release:
https://limitedrungames.com/collections ... encore-ps4. You must have gotten the Arc System Works PS4 import disc version that comes with both english/Japanese voices/text. And for Touhou Genso Rondo: Bullet Ballet, the game was released in the US via NIS America:

As for Skullgirls 2nd Encore, I have the PS3 download version that used to be called Skullgirls Encore before a patch update, and to be frank I don't see why people like this game so much as I do think their are better 2D fighting games out their. And keep in note it is an indie game, which explains why the game has questionable polish, compared to what is out their for the genre.
And even though you where not crazy for Skullgirls 2nd Encore, you may want to try out some of these other 2D fighting games that are similar to Skullgirls 2nd Encore to see if you liked any of these games better, but keep in note that most of these except for the Arc System Works games have mixed reception by both critics/audiences a like, so you play these with caution, critic.
Blade Arcus from Shining EX (A 2D cross over fighting game featuring characters from Sega's Shining series games. Japan/Asia only)
BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma Extend/BlazBlue: Central Fiction (the later BlazBlue sequels/updates, but you where not a big fan of the fist one on Xbox 360, so proceed with caution. Released in the US for both games.)
Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax Ignition (A 2D cross over fighting game featuring characters from Dengeki Bunko Anime/Manga/Light Novel characters/a few Sega guess characters. Japan/Asia only.)
Guilty Gear Xrd -REVELATOR- (The update sequel to Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN-, but you where not a big fan of the fist one on, so proceed with caution. Released in the US.)
Koihime Enbu (A 2D cross over fighting game featuring characters from this media franchise of the same name:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Koihime_Musō Japan only.)
Nitroplus Blasterz: Heroines Infinite Duel (A 2D cross over fighting game featuring characters from the Visual novel/Anime/Manga media company Nitroplus. Note that this game did come to the US unlike most of the mentioned games save for the BlazBlue/Guilty Gear stuff mentioned in the post critic.)
If you want to learn more about the mentioned games, I can link you to YouTube videos/other info sources if you are interested in the mentioned games critic.
