You're probably going to catch some flak for putting Monster Hunter on there, but it's your list! Other than that, not bad.

Did Atari design Mutant Penguins? I always thought it was an Amiga port. Hmmm... No; it started off as a Jag exclusive, and was only ported to the PC in '96, after Atari was basically dead. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Attack_of ... t_Penguins

Very fun list. Thanks for trudging thru the sludge for us.
I was happy to see NES Dragons Lair on the list. Reader scores also give it an F. I know we couldn't expect a laser disc arcade game from the NES, and the idea to chase the arcade game in concept was fine, but the execution was horrid.
Is Alex Kidd that bad? I am going to have to play it again now and see. Darn.

Great list but a few things
1-Knowing your severe hatred for Bubsy I can't believe you didn't put any of those games in the top 5 lol
2-You seriously missed out on a game that should absolutely be on the list Street Fighter 2020 for the NES

I was a little afraid this would just be your Atari Jaguar page, sans Wolfenstien 3D and Tempest 2000.

You're probably referring to Raid 2020. Street Fighter: 2010 for the NES is pretty good.
NES Action 52 should be #1. That scam originally retailed for $200.

Strange choice for the top spot. There is something terrible in how Worms Forts manages to turn one of the most simple and inviting party games ever into a bloated, confusing slog, but is it really worse than Plumbers Don't Wear Ties? Is it worse than Bubsy 3D, which started with a bad 2D series and managed to make it look downright pleasant in comparison? Forts at least has a basic level of polish and competence that on its own should set it above games like Superman 64 and Dark Castle.
