Good reviews, things to mention Sunset Riders SNES is actually a port of the Arcade version which came out in 1991, where the Sega Genesis version was released years later as a semi different game for corrections. Also I am surprised you gave this lower where most people say the SNES version is better then the Genesis version?

As for Prehistorik Man, it the only good game from the now infamous Titus of Superman 64 fame, and the fact it got ported to GBA and Nintendo DS via the DSiWare download service which is now defunct on the original system can be downloaded via the 3DS eShop, and even an iOS port for iOS devices should tell you the quality of the game itself. It also had a notably diffrent Game Boy version as well.: http://www.hardcoregaming101.net/prehistorik-man/

There's nothing hidden about Sunset Riders.

Usually any game published by Titus is a huge warning flag for me, but Prehistorik Man sounds alright. This made me wonder if anyone else can recall other Titus games that are worth playing. I believe Blues Brothers on the SNES was by Titus, which I remember liking enough to play through. Titus' output on the N64 is another story though.

Good reviews. The joke about historical accuracy felt very timely given the ridiculous Battlefield 5 backlash.
I also never realized that Sunset Riders on SNES was basically a different game.

I can remember playing Prehistorik on the ST:

Wonder if this a sequel of sorts for the console market ?

They released some OK games for the European home computers. Like Lamborghini American Challenge and the aforementioned Prehistorik.

Nice to see reviews of Genesis vs SNES versions. Especially as I never noticed Sunset Riders existed until now and it looks fun.

The SNES Sunset Riders is considered the better version of the two, better graphics, music, gameplay, stages..., also it's bit funny how you call the SNES version "the remixed version", which actually is the other way around, the SNES version is a faithfull port of the arcade version while the Genesis game is the remixed version, dare I say downgraded.

The Sunset Riders reviews are skewed to reflect the order I was introduced to both titles: Genesis early, SNES much later.
Looks like I'll need to adjust them a bit. Thanks for the feedback.

The Genesis version was released at the height of the arcade game fame and attracted a lot of interest. It has new stages (rescue missions, the last stage, bonus stage and the duel) and great gameplay. The snes version came out one year later and is just a downgraded port of the arcade game, suffering from worse gameplay due to its slowness compared with genesis' version. It’s the same problem of almost all snes’ action games.
