Great to see more 7800 reviews (only 5 unreviewed games left!). I haven't played Basketbrawl but I'm pleasantly surprised that it's a reasonably credible game.

Good reviews, though I prefer Desert Falcon. Since the gameplay is just variations on a single stage, it's perfect for when you only have a few minutes to spare. You can always shut it off without feeling any regrets about what you've missed.

And the power-up system adds some quick exploration, if you're just playing to have fun with it.

Two Atari classics that made Master System and NES owners sit up and say: "Holy crap, each of your pixels alone are big enough to be Pong paddles. Also, I think your car alarm is drunk." Then they went back to playing games on much better hardware.

Except for those who had violent seizures caused by all the NES and Master System sprite flicker. And those with an NES that refused to read their carts.

And the Jaguar was... 32? 64? 16? CPU was 16; Bus was 64; 32-bit GPU; 32-Bit DSP; 64 bit Blitter & Object Processor; DSP & GPU could be used as general processors...My head hurts...

Critic, I'm guessing you didn't have the instruction booklet for Desert Falcon when you played it. There's a section in it breaking down a lot of the hieroglyphic combinations and what they do. Personally I always leaned towards the combination that warped you to the sphinx boss at the end of the level. I got enjoyment from this game as a kid, but my biggest disappointment was that there didn't seem to be an endgame I was working towards. I grew up a little too late to fully appreciate just playing for a high score. NES games like Super Mario Bros. & Zelda ruined that for me.

Thanks for the feedback. Actually I do have the manual but apparently didn't dig too deep into it. I didn't realize the combinations were laid out. I guess I just figured it was trial and error.
Now I may need to go back and take another look. Stay tuned.
