Vol 3 is okay, but I think Atari is running out of old games.
I feel like I should include a new icon for game compilations, but don't know what that icon would look like. Ideas?

How about a pixelated Delorean flying back in time?
You could use it to separate legitimate game compilations from shovelware minigame collections.

Pixelated - you gave me a great idea. Back in time! There are some very good icons for that.

Maybe Mark could fashion me a stylish one to match the site.

Is Atari Flashback Classics for Switch review next? My guess yes because this is the lead up and want to see the grade compared to the stand alone 3 volumes.

Solid review, although I personally thought Monte Carlo controlled beautifully. Mapping the arcade's steering wheel to point where the analog stick is pointing was genius and made the three arcade racers here fully playable.
Moving on, the weapon your destroyer is dropping into the ocean to attack submerged submarines with in Destroyer is traditionally called a depth charge rather than a mine.

It is not on disk here in the UK. I am not buying it. I did want a review from you as I knew you would say whether or not it was worth having.. and it is not worth having.
It is the usual thing that you get a load of sports games that were okay to play when you were young but time has moved on and they just look old hat. Nothing on this complication I want at all.
Though SNK are bringing out a retro collection. DLC only for the xbox. It has Vanguard on it and I think I will probably buy it... once it is half price.

The collection is very good in my opinion, and I've barely touched the sports games and have little interest in those. I will say that the one virtual quarter I put into Atari Basketball was a pleasant experience and I intend to put more time into it.
Most of the arcade games are fun to play, three or four of the 2600 games are very good, and after years of complaining about the lack of another Atari platform in these compilations, it's great to see almost the entire unlicensed 1st party Atari library of 5200 games included and several of them translate well to the Dual Shock 4 and are fun to play.
You just have to go into it with the right expectations. It's 50 games and several of them weren't any good when they were new, several others relied too heavily on proprietary styles of controllers that don't translate well to a modern console gamepad, and many rely on a second person to be present to get the most out of (A rare luxury for fans of this era of gaming).
But if you go in expecting to enjoy 15-20 games out of the 50 for your $20 investment (Much more if you have to import, alas), you'll enjoy yourself I bet.
