Good review. Now that you have the book, check out Konami's take on Prince of Persia! It's one of my all-time favorite SNES games, and also my favorite port of the game! I'm amazed that it has flown so far under the radar of so many gamers!

Picked it up shortly after release, very good read. Was very amused by the VGC appearing in the comments for virtually every sports game in the book. ;-)

Prince of Persia is one of my favourite games of all time. Partly due to it being one of the first games that truly blew me away with it's graphics. That was originally on my dad's dos computer around 1991 - 1992.
I found it so difficult at first but eventually mastered it and used to enjoy completing it as quickly as possible.
Fast forward more than 20 years later and I completed the Megadrive version. It has it's flaws and some people really dislike it but I thought it was great fun. I started playing the Snes one soon after but felt like trying a different type of game after spending all my gaming time on PofP for several weeks. I know the Snes version is meant to be very different and would like to review it in the future!
