I don't mean to be unkind, but these two could have benefitted from a few more rounds of testing. Pretty rough!

Don't feel too bad -- this homebrewer has earned a reputation for releasing unfinished product, using other programmers' work, and other questionable practices. Still, it's always nice to see some fresh Jag reviews. I was especially interested to see the JagZombies review. I bought that game when he had it cheap on ebay, but I don't own a Jag CD.

Tiny missing word in the last sentence of the Saucer wars review.

Fixed the typo.
Yeah, if anything I may have been too kind with these two!

Please don't hesitate to call out substandard homebrew! I'm all for supporting homebrew, don't get me wrong, but too often there's a bit of a love-fest going on, where people cheer on any effort just because it's giving them something new for their platform of choice. If the game isn't fun or feels half-assed, it should be said!

The Jag scene has a lot of people who gotta catch 'em all and will buy anything released for the console. The guy who made these "games" was made aware of many issues with JagZombies before, and after, its release. Even when shown video and screen cap proof of the bugs he pretended to not see any problems despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary. I do give him credit for not completely rushing Saucer Wars out the door for a quick buck, getting people to test it and fixing issues. I'm sure we'll see "Saucer Wars Holiday Edition" in 2 months where he just adds snow and a penguin to everything like he's done with his other releases. Sorry you wasted your money on these, VGC.

I feel like we have still never seen what the Jaguar could really do in terms of technology. The hardware was actually decent. I'd love to see a port of Quake or Duke 3D running on it or maybe a good sports game.

He's done Protector SE already. Impulse X is another good one to check out that's still available on CD, cart versions were gone long ago.
