This is a re-review. The previous review (grade B) was written 21 years ago, and way too short.
This new review may be too long, but oh well. Let me know what you think.

The review isn't too long at all IMO. The background about the game and your old saves adds length, but I think it makes the review more interesting. I had never heard of this game before, but I would definitely buy it if not for the exorbitant price tag. (Looks to be selling for around $150 on ebay.) But I did watch a Youtube video to get a sense of the game. Looks really good, while being much different than the standard "shoot all the bad guys" light gun premise. That water level in your screenshot was giving me flashbacks to Panzer Dragoon too.

Did anything in particular inspire you to revisit this game? It's an obscure one to randomly pick off the shelf, so I figured something must have brought you back to it.

P.S. If you want to see REALLY expensive.. check out the "Assassin's Case" version of Elemental Gearbolt, which came with a gold-plated Guncon. I just learned about it while googling the game. Supposedly it was an E3 prize and less than 50 were made, so they're ultra rare and a sought after collectible. Here's some pics of it:

It's hard to be sure of the value, but according to PriceCharting.com, the last verified ebay sale was way back in 2009 for $3000. With how much game values have shot up since then, I wouldn't be surprised if it's worth much more than that, like more in the $5k to $10k range.
