I beat Jackie Chan's Action Kung Fu recently. I enjoyed it, though it really is very easy and too forgiving. I didn't even realize there was a charge/fireball attack and still nearly beat the game without it.

By the way the green orbs definitely have a purpose, as if you collect 30 you get a complete life bar recharge, and you can easily grind them whenever you're low on HP. That makes the game super-easy.

It seems like the last major release for any Nintendo console is a Kirby game.

The Turbografx-16 version got a much higher score. Is the level design that different? I have both, but I haven't thought to compare them yet!

I'm actually re-reviewing the T16 version, and while it's definitely superior, I think I'm going to downgrade it to a B+.

Your Kirby reviews hurt me, Critic! For me, this is a top 10 NES game and an easy A+.

Never realised Jackie Chan had his own video games dating back to the NES!

Surely there can't be any other movie star/celebrity who's had so many games named after them without it being a franchise.

I've never tried a Kirby game but have always wanted to. The NES games look like they would be really relaxing to play.
You weren't being harsh on the game by giving it a C+. Surely that is better than a passing grade. Like you say it is probably aimed at the younger market and is an easier title to play because of this. We all have memories of being kids enjoying a game that is just too hard for us but when we come back to it as adults we breeze through it. I think I would've loved this as an 8 year old or around that age bracket.

Ah, Kirby's Adventure, I played that game a lot as a kid and have many fond memories, but now that I'm older, I think I kind of agree with the Critic's review. Heck I even reviewed the game in the Reader Reviews. I had a friend who loved it too with all the abilities, my favorites were sword, fire, crash, mike, high jump, freeze, and UFO. The bosses at my young age were difficult, but got easier, my favorite was the final boss, which wasn't Dedede but the star ball and then the vampire. I loved the graphics and music, may favorite stage themes were the Butter Building and Orange Ocean. Of the mini-games, my favorite was the Quick Draw one, though it was difficult, I have succeeded at getting perfect a few times. Recently a few years ago I tried the game again, and it was a cakewalk. If you find all the secrets the first time, you unlock a harder version of the game with 3 health bars instead of 6 and even worse is you have to complete it in one sitting! Very frustrating.
