I'm building up my 007 review collection for the upcoming Bond special - to be posted whenever the next movie comes out.

Let me know what you think of this one. I think I have two more to go.

I have been pleasantly surprised with your grades on these games so far. I enjoyed them all immensely, but as an over-the-top Bond fan I expected my grades to be quite a bit higher than yours. The first stages are awesome out in the snow, and it does make a great multi-player arena.

I'm guessing one of the remaining games is Everything or Nothing, and I'm curious what your grade will be. Looking forward to that review!

Great review it covers all the bases. It's been many years but I think I remember all the stages. I have it, time to revisit it. I remember all the awful Bond games from the second gen. But boy they had a lot of good/great ones in the sixth and seventh gens.

I wasn't as big a fan of The VGC score on From Russia With Love. It followed the story but felt it was kind of the same type of action over and over again. I got bored with it.

Nightfire is my second fave of all Bond games. The snowmobile action scene and seeing Paris were worth the price of admission on it's own. But I thought all the levels were great. My grade B+/A-

Did you mean to say third-person? Games like this (similar to Call of Duty or Doom) are in first person.

You're right DaHeckIzDat! From Russia with Love was third person, but this is first person. I'll fix the review.
Thanks for the correction!

Spot on review! I'd probably give this game a solid B+ myself.

I played a bunch of this game last weekend with a guy who is dating my wifes best friend and of everything on my shelf it's what he wanted to play.

What always amazes me with these 2k era games is how well the graphics hold up; the game still looks amazing! What has aged more awkwardly is the controls for many of these games. In the last 10-15 years the industry has sort of settled on a default layout for how these games control; you can pretty much pick up any FPS and they all control the same these days. Back in 2K they were still figuring it out, combining old style controls (Doom/Quake) with more modern controls like Goldeneye or that used a second analog stick for strafing etc. So this game was awkward at first, but once you go into options and set up the controls properly, it controls just fine. Same would be true of any other 2K era game.

The variety of play styles is amazing too, not only FPS, but car, snowmobile, submarine car, etc. etc. Lots of fun to revisit!

it was a great game and your review also says it is. So we agree. Really looking forward to your review of the best 007 game Bloodstone.
The new movie looks atrocious. Pierce was the last good bond. Skyfall was an all time low for the series. I thought the one with Jimmy Bond in it was better.
