This is the latest example of me updating over (20+ year old) reviews, providing much more information this time.
I downgraded Astroblast down from B+ to B, and upgraded Omega Race from B- to B.
One issue I feel I need to address is the "secondary picture", in this case the booster grip for Omega Race. I don't like how the two pictures "squeeze" the text, but I'm not sure what a better way to present them would be. Thoughts?

I find it interesting Omega Race will use a Colecovision joystick for the needed second button but a Genesis controller won't work.

I remember playing Omega Race back in the early 80's. I was excited because it was a not common sit down game.
As I sat back I played it. I thought it was kind of fun. But when I played it again, even as a child I was like this game is pretty lame. Why would they create a sit down cabinet for such a simple minded game.
I eventually got it on the 2600 when everyone was dropping prices. But I barely ever played it.

There is a hack of Omega Race that supports the Genesis controller. You can find it in the AtariAge topic rom hacks to support 2 buttons with genesis controllers.

I have a soft spot for Astrosmash/Astroblast... Nice to see a review of the 2600 version.

I played it on games room on the Xbox 360 which emulated a lot of the 2600 games. It worked really well. I played the game extensively. It was okay. Not something that I would have played a lot back in the day but still a game that could be played.
C+
It is available on Atari Vault for pc. the control is atrocious. For that i give it a f-
Omega Race. I played it in the arcades. It never grabbed my attention much. Then I played it on the CBS Colecovision. I really enjoyed it. I never knew there was a 2600 version. It is not something I would buy today but I may give it a go on Stella.
