Since my last review was kind of negative I thought I'd follow it up with two glowing Colecovision reviews.
Actually Junt Hunt was slightly downgraded (from the 20 year old review) from an A to A-. Fathom is brand new!
You may notice that with the new expanded format I'm about to incorporate a lot more detail in the reviews. This should make any re-reviews a lot more interesting.
Thoughts?

Nice reviews! But I guess you were just being funny about the mermaid music in Fathom? It's definitely not Star Wars.

Fab. I loved Jungle hunt on the 2600 and on the Colecovision. I never played Fathom, well I do not think I did. Looks great.

Yow, Fathom looks amazing in the screenshot! Had never heard of that one, here's hoping it shows up on some Colecovision release at some point in the future...

Nice reviews. There's a remarkable level of detail in that Fathom screenshot. I'm really curious how it stacks up to the Intellivision version, though on graphics alone the ColecoVision looks likely to win this round.

Dave I think you and I discussed Jungle Hunt about 5 years back. In the arcades I distinctly remember it being Jungle Hunt not Jungle King. I remember it so well back in those days because I like you played it so often. Lo and behold I did a little research. There were two games with different titles. Each was released by Taito. I guess after they released Jungle King they started worrying about the licensing issues and hence changed it to Jungle Hunt. Interesting footnote. Two games virtually the same released by the same company and the only thing different was the protagonist. And by the way Fathom looks amazing, at least for the graphics. Good reviews!

Even stranger, later that same year, they redid the graphics yet again and turned it into a pirate themed game called "Pirate Pete." This time the stage graphics changed too but the gameplay remained the same.

You're in luck as "Pirate Pete" is included on the Taito EGRET II Mini (basically Taito's version of the Astro City Mini). For some reason, I find it very funny it made the cut and not "Jungle Hunt" (or even "Jungle King" if the legal issues allowed for it).
