2021/10/22: Intellivision: Dracula

Decided to touch up this review a bit since I've been playing it lately. Downgraded it from C to C-. Love the style and technical prowess, but man, this game is hard to play. Mainly due to the controls.

Thoughts?

This is one of those games from back in my childhood I always wanted to play. However I have never owned an intellivision, I'm a 2600 guy here. Looked at the intellivision flashback to possibly purchase, almost all the games are two player, I'm a solo player. I almost bought the entire flashback just to play this but I passed realizing it was pretty silly. Fun review and I would still like to play it, but at least now I realize I am not missing too much. Solid review and thanks for re-reviewing this.

Alright, Dracula for the INTV! This game holds a special memory for me. When this game came out in 1983 my friend and I went to the store American Sew and Sound (yep, back in the 80’s a store that sold sewing machines and speakers actually existed). My friend and I both wanted Dracula, but the associate kept saying “You’re CRAZZZZY!” (To this day my friend and I still say it like that) and convinced me to buy Ice Trek while my friend Steve bought Dracula. The associate’s idea was that we could swap games which was a good point. I think the C- for Dracula is a fair grade (Ice Trek in my opine is the better game). Dracula is really pretty to look at, and very well made, but there’s really no sense of progression. And you’re CRAZZZY.
