Since we’re all chiming in with un-reviewed Bond games, didn’t 007: Nightfire get a Game Boy Advance release? And wasn’t it a Doom clone First Person Shooter, at that?

Can’t say I ever played it, but I remember seeing screenshots in magazines and being pretty impressed with the visuals.

It's a step beyond Doom/Quake shooters. They squeezed the entire AAA Bond experience into a couple dozen polygons and some sprites. If you can also handle the low frame rate and the low resolution?

I'm not sure it entirely succeeds on its own merits, but it's a great test of your imagination and pattern recognition skills.

Ah, my favorite type of game :D

In all seriousness, as someone who's been playing the SNES version of Doom since its initial release - and has been enjoying it just fine this whole time - I'm sure the choppiness in the GBA Nightfire won't been too much of a hurdle to clear. I'll add it to my ever-growing wishlist, TPG.

As far as legit review feedback, I did find the word "persona" in the first two sentences to be a little over-used and distracting, especially as it's used to end both sentences. "Stoic mannerisms" or "blue-collar portrayal" are suggestions for replacing one of the uses of "persona," though I don't think both uses have to go.

Otherwise, I think the actual review text reads pretty well!

For actual review feedback, there is a sentence in the 4th paragraph that has the word "massive" in it twice:

"In Bangkok you'll chase a massive dump truck through the city streets, inflicting devastation on a massive scale."

Might want a different adjective for one of them.

Great feedback guys.

You know I did NOT intend to reuse the words "persona" and "massive" like that. I am fixing it now!

I think I was just rushing when I pushed out the review. Thanks for looking out.

"I wasn't a big 007 fan until Daniel Craig took over the role of Bond in 2006"

I'm surprised you feel this way given your age. They really lost me with Daniel Craig (doesn't look like bond (not brunette, handsome or tall enough, too serious, etc) and I think all the movies after Casino Royale aren't that great personally.

Don't get me wrong, I like Daniel Craig as an actor, he's great in a lot of movies, just not as bond. I think a lot of the younger generation just like him because he's the current guy and all they know, but really the series started taking itself too seriously with his arrival and lost me as a fan.

So any games of the Daniel Craig era....i really have a hard time getting into. Great review as always!
