These are two re-reviews, which are much more fleshed out than the 20 year old former reviews.
Note Prize Fighter went from F to F-.
Ground Zero Texas got a bump up from D+ to C-. This is partly due to the terrible PS4 remake, which I will post a review for very soon.

Ground Zero Texas is among the gems of the Sega CD Light Gun games, both for gameplay and sheer cheesy writing/acting.
Price Fighter, on the other hand... Even as a kid I was curious how a CD system with access times could process twitch timing needed for a boxing game like this (especially after reading all the "wonderful" reviews of Mortal Kombat Sega-CD, which had tons of odd access times).

2 craptacular FMV games reviewed!
I was actually excited by Prize fighter. It's b&w film and game footage would improve the limited FMV capabilities, I thought. I also thought I would eventually dial into how to connect punches and dodge. But the gameplay ain't no Super Punch Out - gameplay stinks. Frustrating, limited.

I love the Mega CD reviews so much, and of those my fave are the FMV games. I am so glad I never got one and the FMV seem to be the lowest of the low. I still love them. The sheer nostalgia of them must be great.

I liked Ground Zero but agree with your review that it's more linear than Night Trap.
Prize Fighter is relatively easy once you realize the patterns/cues you need to use when throwing punches. I find it way more playable than Supreme Warrior despite the similarities in the play mechanics. Of course I only played it through once - no replay value at all.

Aside from light gun FMV games and the occasional try at Sewer Shark, I usually find myself watching Longplays of FMV games to enjoy the bliss that is contained.

Prize fighter on the Sega CD reminds me of Supreme Warrior on the Sega CD. You can fight and jump and kick all you can but hardly anything ever connects. Same game, different look.

Re: 2021/12/7: Sega CD: Ground Zero Texas, Prize Fighter
I don't remember exactly but I think there are options in Prize Fighter to get the arrows of when and where to punch and some of the settings make a difference to make it a bearable ridiculous game. The video is so cheesy and grainy. The harder difficulties don't have the arrows and it's impossible.
