Do you like this new set of reviews? Let me know!
Captain Silver is an update, but the other two are brand new.

I think you'd enjoy Road Fighter. It's a Konami game with a decent number of similarities to Spy Hunter and similar games like Action Fighter, though its strictly a racer. Almost is closer to Bump 'n' Jump I suppose, besides the fact that you don't jump in it, or the old Sega racer Monaco GP.
Had a good port on the NES and is coming to the Colecovision courtesy of Opcode Games later in the year.

Critic, is this a TYPO, or is spiderman really, in the game, fighting by THE DAILY PLANET?! Because someone has mixed up universes here! THE DAILY PLANET is where Clark Kent/Superman works, Peter Parker/Spiderman works at THE DAILY BUGLE!
Nice to see more 8-bit reviews though!

I think you were a bit harsh on spiderman, perhaps taking too much notice of the fact it came out on genesis too - does that really matter, but its not a great game either. It has quite an interesting cheat in it though, if you find a hidden area in the game you get to play a spiderman head version of pacman.
Since you like Captain Silver that much perhaps you should get hold of the European version, as its much longer than the cut down US version. They took levels out to make the game easier for US players, and it then happens to use a smaller cheaper rom too. The European version is recogniseable by its completly different artwork (and yes I do have a spare copy

)

I completely own at that game. It has some of the best arcade racing fun of any game, ever. It takes a couple minutes to get used to having to stear into a crash in order to come out of it, but after that it's all gravy.
My favorite part is when Superman flies over you if you go long enough without crashing.

In the Spider-Man vs. Kingpin review, you write that Spider-Man begins the game in front of the Daily Planet building.
I think you meant the Daily Bugle building. Daily Planet is Superman.

I stand corrected! I will change the building name to Daily Bugle!

Very old thread (nearly seven years!), but I wanted to note that based on the review, it sounds like he
is playing the European version. There definitely aren't "five bosses" in the US version, and the game is embarrassingly short and easy.
Assuming I'm correct, a note should probably be added to the review, as I suspect anyone buying the game based on the VGC's recommendation will be sorely disappointed!
