Rock Band will cost you what, 160$? Does that mean the game can't possibly get higher than a D?

Does a Gamecube controller work with the Wii version of Geometry Wars?

[QUOTE=MigAlley]

Reason I ask is that my classic controller is shot and I was just curious where the game stood with the controller that comes with it.

I thought Metal Slug Anthology was penalized a bit for the crummy default Wii controls in the Critic's review. So there appears to be a bit of inconsistency to me anyways.

but metal slug had only one control scheme which didn't force you to use motion sensing controls (all but one of which is totally unplayable) the gamecube controller, and then you had to use the analog stick instead of the d-pad. thats much worse than having a bad defualt control system and one perfectly good one.

Incosistency? Metal Slug Anthology doesn't support the Classic Controller at all, so of course points should be decked for the game refusing to let you control it in a comfortable manner. Geometry Wars controls perfectly well, you just need to own a particular controller. Not a special controller custom-made for this game, but a controller a whole lot of people will already own.

I don't think anyone in their right mind would argue that Geometry Wars is the best game on the 360, not after the monster 2007 the console had. That statement might have applied in 2005.

Also, the vast majority of people who played Geometry Wars on the 360 did so via Xbox Live, so the score saving issue wasn't a problem.

This review seems to use incendiary language intentionally, not that that's a bad thing, necessarily.

[QUOTE=Superjay]Geometry Wars is the best game on the 360. Wow. VGC what are you smoking can I have some of that stuff. That must be some good butthash.

^^^I'm with Superjay. The 360 has one of the best line-ups of all the consoles. Something for everybody. With games like GRAW, Gears, Halo 3, Mass Effect, Oblivion, NHL 08, PGR 4, Call of Duty 4, ETC, ETC, how can Geometry Wars be "arguable the best"? Not sure about that one.

Gemoetry Wars is a universal title that anyone can enjoy making it one of the best 360 games. And arguably best isn't a definitive statement therefore there is no problem in having it the review.

I think Andrew hit the nail on the head.

Yes, the 360 has amazing sports titles, racing games, first-person shooters, etc.  But some of my friends hate first-person shooters.  A few of them couldn't care less about sports games.  But Geometry Wars seems to be a game anyone can enjoy.  Hell, even my wife likes this game!

Gee I guess I'll be the lone person to comment on the other game...Lyoko.

Critic, you must not get Cartoon Network or if you do had never paid attention to the Miguzi block on weekday afternoons.
