I love those old AVGN episodes, the 32X one, Virtual Boy and NES acessories are all gold, he really looked pissed off, it didn't seem like a character. James Rolfe created AVGN when he was going through a hard time in his life, and with AVGN he found a way to easy stress, in the end AVGN helped popularize old classic games on the internet.
But today things are a bit different innit? Now he is a 40+ years old guy, with kids, wife, other interests in life, he can't be that angry energetic AVGN forever, people change, now he has matured, and recent AVGN eps show this maturation like on that Zelda Majora's Mask episode.
