Re: TMNT: Shredder's Revenge (2022)
I want to like this one more than I do.
I know it's still a work-in-progress, but from what I've seen, it just seems to be missing something. The characters look too small during gameplay. Their proportions and animations are just a bit off. Certain voice samples seem to be repeated far too often. The pacing between beatdowns seems a little stilted.
Granted, once I get a chance to actually play the game, these nitpicks might cease to exist! But since all I have to go on right now is pre-release footage, I have to say that I've been underwhelmed.
All I can say is, I hope there's a demo.
Also, how is April one of the standard fighters, but Casey Jones isn't? Probably DLC bait, if I had to guess...

I have. Been playing it on the Switch for the last couple days. Did a little arcade mode, and been having some fun with the Story mode.

Preordered the Switch physical, wish the soundtrack was available in a bundle other than the $200 pack...
Still waiting for Cowabunga Collection to have an actual release date...

So, I got the physical copy for this week (Nintendo Switch edition). It comes with a nice manual and a pizza keychain. I played the entire game one time now. It's good, but I feel it's a bit overhyped. I mean, the production quality and control is excellent (and it has a very cool intro), but it just didn't grap me as much as (for example) Streets of Rage 4. I will probably play it again sometime, but not anytime soon.

Really positive reviews so far. I think it’s by the same team as Streets of Rage 4. Right? So that’s a promising sign. I ordered the Xbox version, but not sure when it comes. Probably sometime in August.
