VGC Site Forum Notifications

Has anyone else had issues with receiving email notifications for updated forum posts that you are following? For the last six months or so I have had to go into the site manually to see if any threads I am following have had replies.

I tried to PM the VGC, and the PM says it is "in the outbox," though I cannot confirm it sent.

Gotta be honest - I don't use many of the features in this forum, including private message and notifications, so I can't deny or confirm these features are no longer working or have ever worked.

I guess if there's a big enough outcry I could try to investigate further. Sorry.

I get emails all the time on the movies forum. I wonder if it's only some threads or if they are getting caught in your spam filter.

Thanks for chiming in ActRaiser. Kind of rules out the email system being broken, which is a relief.

Not in my spam and not being blocked, site is good to send emails.

Back in July for a brief period I received a couple of notifications, but otherwise nada. Every other time I come to the site, between 2 and 4 Notifications are on the main forum posts of updated messages, none of which I received.

You have to be subscribed to a thread to get emails about it.

No. You have to select the option from the little wrench icon at the top of the thread.

Wrench icon? I've always checked the box "Notfy me when a reply is posted" under Options (below the Save Draft/Submit when writing a message)
