I ordered Space Rocks on Atariage on 4/19/25 and received it on 4/24/25, so I think maybe it is safe to order now.

Is the wait of a few months such a deal that you'd of rather that he had just done a stealth delisting?

Well, so here’s the thing:

-It’s been nearly 2 years since the Last Chance sale, not a few months. My order was July 2023.

-Even if the delay is justified, there has been a lack of communication over the past year. Al’s last email update was July 2024- if he sent any more recent ones, I wasn’t on it. And he didn’t respond to an email that I sent him two months ago, just looking for an update. My order was around $400, and at this point I’m unsure if I’m in the queue or if I fell through the cracks.

-Even if the reasons for delay are genuine, it does start to feel a little like “the dog ate my homework” when reason after reason piles up over 2 years.

-At least for me, I’m ok with waiting. I’ve bought from AA in the past, and it was a good experience. I’d buy from them again. This was an unprecendented sale for such a small operation. I can live with that. But the criticism is fair too, and I wouldn’t blame anyone who isn’t willing to take another chance on ordering again.

I believe that you've fallen through the cracks. There's been regular e-mail updates to those that bought games during these sales.

I'd send another e-mail to him. He's obviously busy and isn't doing a great job of responding to them, but something doesn't sound right with your situation.

Thanks for the heads up. I sent a follow-up email on Thursday, and this time I sent it to the Store’s general mailbox. No response so far, but I’ll see if I hear anything this week.

Sent a 3rd email today, and Al finally wrote back. I’m still in the queue. Woohoo. Al has said all Last Chance orders will be completed and shipped by end of June.. though he admitted in the email to me that it might creep into July for the shipments. By now, I know that actually means August or September at the earliest. But that’s ok. I’m just glad to learn my order didn’t fall through the cracks.

Games coming my way include Toyshop Trouble, Zippy the Porcupine, Pacman Collection (7800), Pacman 4K, Galagon, Draconian, Zoo Keeper, and a couple others. If you are receiving any from the sale, you should test them upon receipt. There’s been some reported issues, probably because of the haste to produce them- but Al has been good about fixing any mistakes.

I'm glad that you got a response.

While I've defended the AtariAge store, it does suck for everyone excited to play their purchases to have to wait so long. I just don't see how it could've been handled any better (outside of perhaps better communication and responsiveness to customer inquiries, although I suppose that probably slipped for good reasons with the focus on catching up rather than spending the time writing e-mails).
