Have you ever noticed that many modern gamers really want to play games that are in the "old" style? I think us retro-gamers are onto something...

So why don't these people just play the classic games? Well it's a lot easier to download a game like this. Retro-gaming can be a lot of work! It takes a certain kind of person I think.
Thoughts?

I think a lot of them do, especially now that emulators have made games like Project Gotham Racing (brought up in that review) more accessible than ever before, but people still clamor for titles they haven't played before, and when it comes to specific genres usually brand new games are the easiest way to experience such.

Gamers at large want to play older games but cannot conceive of gaming as anything but a consumerist exercise in "keeping up", so you get inoffensive indie knock-offs like this at best and the endless, worthless horde of remakes and "remasters" at worst.
