Suggestion Box?
Does anyone have any suggestions on how the site could be improved? I'm always working on it, but don't want to overlook anytime. I'm curious to hear all suggestions, big or small.

Finally registered. First post, long time visiter. Great site! I agree with 99% of the reviews, but actually not the latest NHL reviews. We'll discuss later!
One suggestion would be to see a graphical representation of each of the systems' reviews. I'm thinking something like a bar graph. This would help people visually see which system gets the best reviews. I assume SNES would be skewed to the left and something like Sega CD/32X would be to the right.
Anyways, great job!

Easiest way to improve the forums is enforce a rule that you have to respond to the post, not the poster.

I recommend letting people post on the forums without requiring mod approval. This would free up much more discussion. If there are problem members deal with them on one on one basis. The current set up stymies free decision.

That might be misleading as grades are not meant to be an indication outside of that console' own library. (give or take) (and glad to have you posting WKZ)
Mod Approval in the Forums:
I understand the reasons for mod approval on all posts, and that the restriction pours molasses on some discussions. I have also had some posts never posted, and never sure why which is irksome.
To support the status quo though, mod approval could stop some rude posts (we had one recently that was posted in response to a fringe opinion and was rude and approved anyway). Problems can be handled in private. Since it will take hours for a post to be posted, read and a reply posted, a poster may as well take time and *compose* a post. We all visit other sites without this restriction, so its easy to see the difference.
Maybe there is some middle ground between the current system and a free for all.
Reviews:
I think Dave shines for reviews of pre-internet games, but that is a finite set compared to the ever growiwg number of modern games (Dave has taken mobile games out of scope, but even console games are ever increasing). I would like to see more games from the retro era, such as more Speccy and Commodore 64 games. The libraries are large, and they should take about as much time as NES games do to review.
I would also like to see a few Pong era consoles. Add them as a group in the 70s. Many are still inexpensive, and have a variety of controllers. Some like the Atari pinball/breakout and the Coleco Tank game do not play pong at all. Just a few reviews of these console reviews would provide some figurative bedrock.

The delayed posting is useless anyhow because it is not used correctly. If you want thought out and deliberate responses, fine - but look how many off topic posts and lynch mob posts get posted anyway, and derail topics? And the ironic thing is, the worst and habitual offenders of this accuse others of being disruptive.
So you must choose to regroup as moderators and correctly administer the current system, it is not doing what it is supposed to do in the first place. The poster feedback on this site and consistency in rule enforcement is completely lacking. The current system is broken, and everything is done in the dark, with no explanation.
There are people on this board who I do not care for, obviously, and some that I do like but do not agree with, but, never have I wanted to take their voice, their piece of this forum, away. Let the posts go through!

Sega-Your the last person who should be talking about "off-topic" posts. How many times have you derailed a thread with your pro-Nintendo-anti-everything else rhetoric?
Anyways I do agree that the system of waiting for posts to be approved should be done away with.
