One unique aspect of my site is how each review page contains dozens of reviews.  This allows the readers to get a lot of content with minimal clicks.  It also might expose them to some titles they would not have looked up.

I think it's a pretty decent format but I'd like to know what you all think.  Is it working for you?  One drawback is when I re-index the pages, some links from the outside get broken.

On the same subject, I tend to break up the pages by letter ranges so there will be a reasonable number of reviews on each page.  I originally did this because I though certain pages might take too long to long.

The poster child of this is the "S" section of the Atari 2600, which is broken into four pages.  Is this a good idea, or it is too confusing?  Are internet speeds so fast now that I shouldn't worry about the page length?

It sounds like a lot of work on the backend. Are these pages getting auto-generated as you push new reviews or do you physically need to move the reviews to a new page?

Overall, I'd say it works.

I would definitely be in favor of having all the reviews for a particular letter on one page.

They are auto-generated so it's very easy for me to re-index them.  I just need to know what's preferable to the reader.

Do you appreciate the S review being broken up into manageable chunks, or would you just as well have them in one long page?

I was also trying to keep in mind smart phone users, where the download speed may be slower.

The site's mostly text anyway. Breaking the pages up further negates the download speed issue, plus it's probably easier to read.

Could you split it on the mobile site and combine them on the desktop site? Sounds like that would accomplish everything at once.

I like the multiple reviews per page format you have been using. And I think it's good that you broke up the longer sections like the 2600 "S" section for quicker access. Don't change a thing! [smile]

One reason I brought this up is that if other sites are linked to specific pages, these links get confused/broken when I "reindex" the pages - which I try not to do too often.

For example, just a few days I noticed someone posted that some of the links to my reviews on Atari Age were broken.

The good news is, I was just able to create some redirect pages which should fix these problems.  If you see any other problems like this, let me know.
