Reviews Too Hard To Read?

Well done. Now, add paragraphs for those longer reviews and your site will be perfect.

You still have the wall of text when you expand the the review. But, now, it's okay to implement paragraphs. Before adding paragraphs would have broken your short review UI style for the website. I get that.

The problem for me personally when reading longer reviews is that I don't get a chance to read them completely before getting distracted by something. And when I go back to finish the review I lose my place and have to start over a bit. Paragraphs help solve that problem at least for me.

Thanks for the feedback Actraiser. I definitely think this change is for the better.

I probably won't be breaking up my reviews into paragraphs but I'm hoping the additional space between the lines helps people keep track of where they are.

I might also consider using a subtle background image that "blocks off" every few lines.

Not crazy about the new "Read More" option. I tend to go to random pages and scroll through gradually. Having to stop and click on each review to read the whole article is a bit of a deterrant from reading.

I appreciate the feedback MSR. I can see how having to click might be annoying, but at least I only have the read-more links for the long reviews. I think the threshold is 1300 characters but I could adjust that.

Until I heard otherwise I'm going to assume most people are satisfied with the new format. If not, please speak up.

I have to say I'm not real crazy about this change either. It reminds me of those online articles that make you keep clicking to read the whole story. Really irritating!

I don't mind it but looking back on it, I think the Read More link would make more sense after the last word, before it cuts off. Having the read more link directly below on its own line doesn't really follow how your eyes work when you're reading the review. That would cut off a few characters but I think the reviews would flow better that way.

Your reviews are good . They are short and to the point. It is impossible to make everyone happy! lol
