sut-I fail to see how this is a bad thing, I like the idea that now you can extend the lifespan of a game with DLC.
I don't get those who say modern games take a long time to figure out, it never takes me long to "get into" the new games(the only games I can think where it takes a long time to learn everything are RPGs and strategy games, which is why I generally don't play many of those)
I personally don't care about "instant gratification", I just care if the game is actually interesting or not.
