Actually Nintendo has been doing better.  The NPD numbers for July were really solid for them.

I think everyone knows this is kind of a "stay afloat" generation for Nintendo, but they're certainly moving in the right direction, and I think we should remember their most succssful period in company history (and in both handhelds and consoles for them) followed their last bad performer with the Gamecube.  When the DS phone, or the combined tablet/handeld/console they release comes out next generation, all they need to have done is righted the ship enough to stay afloat.
