I'm almost ashamed to admit...
When I was a kid in the NES days, I absolutely LOVED good video game music. I loved it more than what I listened to on the radio or cassettes. I loved it so much that (here is the slightly embarassing part) I used to get to the level that had my favorite music and pause the game or find a place where I could just let the game sit, and I would crank my stereo and just listen while I did other things in my bedroom. My favorite was always in Sunsoft games. The boss music in Fester's Quest, the second level of Journey to Silius, pretty much any level of Batman or Blaster Master, I could play them for hours and not get tired of them. I would let them play quietly while I slept at night. I would put my boombox next to my speakers and record my favorites so I could listen to them on my walkman while I did my paper route the next morning. And while the music is definitely good, I think it was it's association with the games that I loved that made me so fond of it. When I sit down to play these games today, my drive to play alot of them is at least 50% so I can listen to the music. This is probably why, when I can't decide what I want to play, I always resort to a Sunsoft game or Mega Man 2. For the music.
Anybody have any they want to add?

I HATE lending my games out, I just get paranoid that I either won't get them back or I won't get them back in the same condition. This is tenfold if it's any of my Sega stuff. But to compound my shame I have no hesitation borrowing games from my friends, so Miles I will bring your God of War 2 back one day - promise !

Actually, mine is the same as Paul's. I really, really like videogame music. I even have a top 5 list of favorite composers:
1. Nobuo Uematsu
2. Yasunori Mitsuda
3. Motoi Sakuraba
4. Jeremy Soule
5. Hiroki Kikuta

Sut,
I hear you! There have been times in the past where I've lent out games and usually regret it. My favorite is when you ask your friend about it a month later, and they give you some indignant response like "what, you need it right now?" So I instituted a no-lend policy.
The funny thing is, in recent years I have offered to lend a game or two to close friends, but they don't want anything to do with it because they know I keep my stuff mint, and they don't want their kids to get a hold of them!

Another song that I used to fire up was in ActRaiser. It was a very mournful, melody like song that I thought was amazing that it could be made on the SNES. For some reason it reminded me of the piano Lonely Man song from the Incredible Hulk.
I've got one I'm almost ashamed to admit...
...I bought Disney Infinity 2.0 including the Spiderman and Guardians of the Galaxy sets. and several additional figures.
I think I've thrown down something like $260 in all. Do you know how messed up that is? But at the end of the day, it's freaking awesome. I know it's idiotic, but they're Marvel characters you can hold and play in a video game all at the same time. I mean what could be cooler?
Star Wars...but that's for the same thread next year for Disney Infinity 3.0.
