I noticed that 4 K TVs are getting cheaper. Has anyone played any classic games on them? Do any N64 games look like on them? My wife wants to get one, but I think I may be better off with a 1080P TV!

Funny, my wife suggested the same thing.
However, there's virtually no way to get content in the 4K range. So, as far as I'm aware, you're buying a TV that will be far more advanced than what you'll be able to display standard HD on.
Heck, my cable company still only broadcasts in 1080i. They've yet to go to 1080p.
Save your money, buy games for a few years until they've figured out ways to deliver content at the 4K range. At that point, the price for the units will have come down quite a bit as well.
I'm sure others have opinions as well (deferring to Paul) but that's my two cents at least.

Do you think that PS2 games would upscale on 4K TVs?

Yeah, you can do it on a PC, like ActRaiser said. I'd recommend a GTX 680 at least, though. It's gonna require some serious GPU power.

I cannot imagine that the n64 would look good on a 4k, no matter how good an upscaler you have.

I just read that 4K TVs are going to be cheap on Black Friday. There will be many under $800.
