[QUOTE=Paul123]I only had time to watch about 5 minutes worth, but I have to say one thing so far, there is definitely a difference between a used video game and a used car/house/clothing, and that is that the video game, as long as it was relatively well taken care of, will still function exactly the same way it did on the day it was manufactured. Cars wear out, houses need upkeep, clothing gets stretched and tattered. A video game can be used a TON and still perform the same way it did the first time it was removed from the plastic. This gives people less incentive to buy a new game than they might have to buy a new car/house/clothing. I am not against the main point of what this guy is saying, I just wanted to point out that, so far, that is a big hole in his argument to me...

Video games do suffer wear and tear although your point is well taken that they age better than most things. Still, there's been a second-hand market for music CDs and DVDs for a long time and I don't think anyone ever called for the end of that.
